So why cafes?
Before I told stories, I was obsessed with the experiences that led to them… and they mostly had to do with travelling and meeting new people. I didn’t always know where I belonged, never had a crew to call me own… But I always loved connecting with new people, and sharing a piece of the puzzle with each other…
this puzzle we call life.
Cafes have always been the meet-up spot for most of my catch ups, first dates, morning meetings… you name it. The place to re-kindle an old connection or to begin a new adventure. You both go, have a coffee and a meal, enjoy the ambience - and have those special kind of convos that just don’t seem to happen anywhere else. I’ve always loved the culture in Melbourne - daily cafe visits are a big part of my life. The lessons I’ve learnt from all the people I’ve met along the way are what I have to thank for the person I am today, for my ability to tell captivating stories and create moving art… it all comes from how my experiences with others have moved me.
I think there are so many amazing people in the world, and all I want to do is help them tell their stories.
Being able to share content across the world is a blessing. We are all the media now, and just because you don’t have lots of followers, it doesn’t mean that your story isn’t important. I’ve noticed a huge shift in how people visit cafes. Nowadays, capturing mindshare on instagram is the difference between a packed cafe and an empty one. Nowadays, people like to spend time with you, on their phones, between visits.
Many have yet to embrace social media fully - a lot of cafe owners are still relying on word of mouth and foot traffic… but I’m here to help them take their customer base to the next level. With content that captivates their regulars and brings in new ones.. By designing a brand identity that transcends the internet and builds a loyal following of real customers.
